I bought a pretty pillow for my uncomfortable bed with my 5 dollar frivolous spending.
contrary to what this post shows, I did do the assignment. I put it on the local storage in the computer lab, came back 4 hrs later and someone had either erased or moved the file. i looked for it for hours. alas, i have learned to NEVER save any project that took over 5 hrs to complete on the main computers.

This is not my exact drawing. I could not find mine on the computer. However I worked with Jill on ours. It was pretty amazing. and we worked really hard on it to get the detail as close as possible.

our pretty white multideminsional plexiglass sculpture.
We took 6 peices of plexiglass and placed them ontop of eachother with scraps of colored paper in between in order to create deminsion. we however decided that it would be a unique way to look at them if we turned it upside down to see only the white and the shadow.
Fun activities in class!! Chess game with charcole!

We were given peices of scrap wood and told to form sculptures with them with different guidelines for each one.

This was a piece that I created from gesso, ink, charcole, and white pastel. The inspiration for this peice was a song called “Welcome to Bancok” by a group known as “Brand New”. The peice is intended to be looked at from the middle outward, following the patterns of the song. As you can tell the first section is light and playful and as it progresses it becomes more ominous and dark and then falls apart at the end.
THis book was randomly chosen to complete a design project. I opend it up and pointed to one line on one random page and created a piece using just that one line as insperation.
This is a collage created by using one random line from the book above. The line was “Mercedes looked like a doll gone mad.” (collage)
This book was an over veiw of Brittish actresses in the 17 and 1800s. it was randomly chosen to complete a design project.
this is the peice that I created from one of the lines of the book that stated that the Brittish actresses were on “strings” or where controlled by men. The green in the back represents the curtain on stage and the women being dangled by the hand represents the women in the men’s hands.
This children”s fairy tale was chosen to complete a miniture peice of art from its pages. It was chosen because it was very old, and had not been checked out for 30 years. I wanted to do a piece for this because i think it would be interesting to see how long it takes for someone to find it.
The French quote in this peice is a poem found in this book. it means,”is love love love the reason the world is round”. (Collage with ink)
